Here, watches are of little use. Time is read on the water and heard in the wind. On the edge of the Sahara, where the dunes meet the ocean, days follow the rhythm of the elements.

8 am: waking up to the lagoon

The sun rises over the peninsula and tints the lagoon with shades of ochre. From your bungalow, the first thing you do is throw the windows open to let in the Atlantic air. No screens, no notifications, just the lapping of the water. Barefoot in the sand, you head to the terrace for a yoga session facing the horizon.

10 am: the call of the wind

The thermal wind picks up and the surface of the water starts to ripple. Kitesurfers pump up their kites to carve long runs across the flat water, wingfoilers look for the feeling of flight, windsurfers plane at full speed. And when the wind takes a break, the lagoon becomes a mirror: time for paddleboarding or a wakeboard session behind the boat.

1.45 pm: the shared table

After the effort, lunch is served in the glass dining room, out of the wind but still facing the landscape. Grilled catch of the day, Moroccan flavours, fresh salads. But what nourishes most are the stories: the session is replayed, beginners and experts swap tips, and strangers become riding partners.

7 pm: the sunset ritual

The light turns golden. On the terrace, Sahrawi tea is served the traditional way while the last riders enjoy the final gusts. This is the magic of slow life: taking time to stop, to look, to meet.

9 pm: under the stars

Far from any light pollution, the Dakhla sky is breathtaking. Around the campfire, the day's tiredness turns into contentment. People come the first time for the wind; they come back for the encounters, the simple moments and this sense of freedom.
